I have tons of ideas, thoughts and other interesting things to write about at the moment, but my recent posts have already revealed what’s on my mind.

So instead of writing somewhat the same thing, I’ll post a simple blogthing.. the Sunset test 😆

You Crave a Dynamic Life

Your dream is to live a life where you are constantly learning and evolving.

You believe that the world, people, and life are incredibly fascinating.

You want to use your mind as much as possible. You want to dare yourself to do what’s difficult.

You’d like to expand your worldview and maybe even solve some of the world’s problems.

Award!

 Who should have known, that all my ramblings about my life in the Faroes would recieve an award! Thanks, Carin for passing this on to me, and for letting me know you enjoy reading my blog. That really motivates me to keep blogging 🙂

Now, the rules that go with passing on this award:

1. Put the logo on your blog;
2. Add a link to the person who awarded it to you;
3. Nominate at least five other blogs;
4. Add links to them on your blog;
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blogs.

First, I have to pass this on to mainly two bloggers, as they inspired me to start up my own blog – simply because they write so well, that it’s a pleasure to read every day! Keep it up, Kathy and Sabine! 😀

The third one, that I think deserves this award, is my boyfriend, Sámal. He writes in Faroese, so only a few thousand people understands it – and since I’ve learned the language, I enjoy reading these incredible poems.

Wade is also one I want to give this award to. Wade’s photos are stunning good – he captures the beauty of mother Earth so well in his photos, that I really envy him. I really recommend you to visit his site, and take a look at his photoblog.

Unfortunately I don’t know many bloggers, so who shall I give this to – the rules said “to five persons at least”. Ah – there are two. Does the rule allow giving the award to the one you received this from? I suppose so, so Carin – I give you this award, not only as thanks, but for your amazing photos – I once searched for pictures of Saumur, and then I found some on your blog! So thanks to your blog, I know what that specific place looks like now 😀

And finally – I want to give this blog-award to a singer I really admire. A Norweigan singer, Sissel Kyrkjebø – yep, she’s blogging, which I find really cool! I’m not going to post this on her blog – but I have told her how much I enjoy reading her blog.

What Kind Of Eyes Do You Have?
Moonlight

Moonlight
You have moonlight eyes. Moonlight  is the color of mystery. Your eyes symbolize your ability to see  yourself as others see you. You have finesse for letting other  people know what you think. You have a soothing and calming ability  that you may or may not know about. You have the awesome ability  to draw a person’s negative energy out and replace it with a positive  energy; the world needs more people like you. Some words to describe  you: patient, self-controlled, perseverance, insightful, reflective, understanding, serene, and caring.

Kathy tagged me on this one several months ago, and now I’m finally in the mood for talking about myself 😆

  1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
  2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).
  3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
  4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I’ll have to break the rules here, because I don’t know of 7 bloggers, but when I get to know them, I promise to send this one to them 😆

These are seven random facts about me:

1. I grew up far away from everything – yep, I’m a country bumpkin – but it was a wonderful childhood in Denmark. I had the world’s biggest playground just outside the door, and I did spend much of my childhood climbing trees, playing around, building things.. and I felt really old, or “grown up” that day I was allowed to hand an axe and chop firewood.

2. My hair was white and very thin until I was 3 years old, then it changed.. and from the age of 5, it turned darker and darker.. now I have thick, dark brown hair. I hope I have my grandmother’s (father’s mother) type of hair – she’s 69 and still have dark hair.

3. I started to teach myself English, before we had English lessons in school in 3rd grade – I loved listening to music, and I was annoyed that I didn’t understand the lyrics, so I sat there with my mother’s dictionary trying to understand different lyrics. Lyrics I remember translating, is songs like Supertramp’s “the Logical Song”, and also some Michael Jackson lyrics.

4. I’m not good at jumping or running.. my body is just not built for those kinds of activities. But I am very strong, thinking about my gender – I often beat men in hand wrestling, and I rarely ask for help when moving heavy things. I’m good at hiking, and I can keep walking for hours without getting tired… good for me, because I simply love hiking/walking.

5. I only have one phobia – and that is arachnophobia. And that is in spite of that I come from a country, where spiders are harmless. I don’t know what I should to do in countries, inhabited by venomous spiders! Yuk.. I’ll panic..

6. A weird fact: I can scratch my ears with my feet 🙄

7. I have many goals in life, but one of them is to learn at least 10 languages before I leave this world – Right now I’m fluent in: Danish, English, Faroese, I want to improve my Swedish, Norweigan and German, and I want to learn Spanish, French, Icelandic and Italian. If I happen to learn these languages while I’m still young, I’ll just add some more languages to my “languages to learn”-list 😉

The blog I posted just before, reminded me about something completely different… “please tell me who I am”.. no problem, just visit blogthings.com, and there are no limits of answers on who or what you are!

I learned today, that I’m a soy latté, and I’ve also found out what my inner European is (Irish btw, or if I chage just 1 answer, Swedish), what kind of tea I am, what kind of flower I am, and what eye colour I should have… and best of all, what personality I have. I’ve always wondered about that one… (not)

Who are these people who creates these quizzes? They either have lots of fun creating them, or they must be really bored.

I just have to admit one thing.. I think they are really funny 😆 So don’t be surprised when I post these blogthings now and then… like this one:

You Are a Ham Sandwich

You are quiet, understated, and a great comfort to all of your friends.
Over time, you have proven yourself as loyal and steadfast.
And you are by no means boring. You do well in any situation – from fancy to laid back.Your best friend: The Turkey SandwichYour mortal enemy: The Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Now I’ve figured out how to customize my blog here at wordpress – best of all, now I have weather forecast and time for sunrise and sunset in the Faroes, lol. And now I just posted a blogthing, to see if it works.. and it does. 😉

Some may ask why I want that sunrise-sunset thing – and there’s just one reason, and that is that I enjoy watching how the days gets longer every day, reminding me that spring is not that far away. It’s still dark though.. sunrise at 9.42 AM, and it sets at 3.25 PM. But with spring comes summer, and with summer comes wonderful festivals and almost 24 hours of sunlight.

I just found a funny video – last summer John Lawton (best known from Uriah Heep) performed in the Faroe Islands, and he posted this on youtube. Oh I wish it was summer very soon, LOL
